Tonight's twists and turns in the Las Vegas octagon ends with Sheetara making a statement in her division.
Tonight's results may have suprised a couple fans out there in tonight's UFC card and in my opinion the biggest surprises came from Mckinneys submission loss too Nazim Sadykhov in round 2 and Holly Holms performance against Sheetara. In Mckinneys case he might have underestimated his opponent and go caught LACKING.
Mckinney could not get his offense in rhythm during the fight and lost some important exchanges leading to getting taken down. Quickly, Sadykhov gets the lock on Terrance Mckinney and makes him tap in the second round. An upset even the UFC recognized as they mentioned on the their Instagram
How The Tables Have Turned
Holly Holm is UFCs sweetheart and can do no wrong in fans eyes but tonight it was a reminder that the times are moving on and Holm now at 41 lost tonight to a 31 year old brazilian phenomenon named Mayra Sheetara. Holms offense was nonexistent in round 1 Nd Sheetara took advantage putting damage on "The Preachers Daughter". As Holly walked out for round 2 it was apparent she had to step it up and as she tried to do just that she was caught in a standing guillotine and submitted.
Is Sheetaras grappling that good or is Holly Holm also moving with the times? Not making much noise for the build up for this fight and entering the arena looking sort of battered have fans concerned about her next move and if she still feels the motivation she once had. Sheetara now in the lead for a title shot, does she get the W against Juliana Peña?
