UFC 288| The Return of Triple C

Newark, Nj-- It seems that everything is on go for UFC 288 this Saturday. After being removed for three years from the sport, Henry Cejudo is poised to shatter more records and aims to further cement his place among the all-time greats. In his way is one of the best bantamweights of modern UFC, Aljamain Sterling. Both fighters still have a lot in mind regarding their futures which adds to this already incredibly put-together card.

Shots of Tears at the Bar

Fans in Newark made sure that Belal Muhammad felt the vibe this evening. It seems like the #4th ranked welterweight is taking it well and hopes to upset #5 Gilbert "Durhino" Burns. Burns just having finished winning a match against Miami superstar Jorge Masvidal asked Belal to make weight for this fight even though being a quick turnaround for himself and short notice for his opponent. Belal was asked if it was going to be trouble making it but shrugged it off saying he can take it. That may be an indication it's going very tough and Gilbert is such a pro for undergoing the same less than a month removed.

Eastcoast Preparation

I hope fans have not forgotten about ex-champion Jessica Andrade of Brazil. She is ready for this match-up against up-and-comer Yan Xiaonan. Andrade says if she wins against Yan that she definitely deserves the rematch against Yan's fellow countrywoman, Wheli Zhang! Dana says he doesn't know at the moment what's going on with Wheli's camp but hopes to go in that direction should Andrade win.

Desendant of the Gracie dynasty, Kron Gracie is back in action on Saturday against Charles Jourdain. Charles believes Kron will just use his Jiu-jitsu to stop him but is confident his stand-up will change the dynamic of the fight. It's a classic clash of styles that promises to keep fans on the edge of their seats, as both fighters look to prove their dominance in the cage. I'd like to note that we almost had Charles Olivera vs Beneil Dariush. This would have made saturday night even more star studded. All that is left is to weigh-in!
