The stakes couldn't be higher, as Jonathan Haggerty and Fabricio Andrade meet in the "middle". It's champion vs champion for ONE's bantamweight kickboxing world title.
Haggerty announced his match-up earlier against none other than MMA champion Fabricio Andrade. In the days before his reveal many wondered about the Rodtang trilogy even though Haggerty doesn't owe us that and we don't blame him. In our opinion "The General" is probably taking his time at bantamweight and getting more used to the weight before he attempts to take the "Iron Man" challenge.
Just before Haggerty and Andrade would post their fight, Rodtang announced his fight against Superlek which is a fight fans know will provide a new challenge for him. Both fighters seem to have their hands full now with world-class opponents in front of each other. Enter Andrade. ONE has a great system set up where fighters can meet in rules they can both use.

Guess that's all it took to get Jonathan Haggerty's attention because just four days later he would post the announcement that they would be fighting under kickboxing rules for the world title. Both champions have much to gain including being two-sport champions which these days may be the new level of prestige.
