At UFC's hall of fame ceremony, we got legends finally getting their flowers for all their hard work and an unexpected surprise.
Lots of emotions were on display today at UFC's hall of fame ceremony as some of our favorite fighters were given the ultimate prize. Fighters train and put in a lifetime work So that they may one day earn this trophy. Jose aldo was awarded his flowers finally after a long fought career. At one point, aldo was the pound for pound champ, and still holds the record for feather weight title defenses. Aldo has given us everything inside the cage and was a true martial artist. Tears of joy came to aldo as he was proud of his accomplishment and rightfully so.
Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone was amongst the warriors crowned as was Jens Pulver, the Nogueira Brothers, Robbie Lawler and Anderson Silva who wasn't able to attend but sent his son. Real ones know everyone on this list deserves it this time around. Who could forget Lawlers timeless matches against "The Red King" Rory Mcdonald and fan favorite Nick Diaz.
Although everyone watched to see their favorite fighters receive their trophy an unexpected surprise was revealed. George St Pierre announced his return to combat sports! Sadly he's not coming back to MMA but to submission wrestling rather on UFC's fight pass invitational at the end of the year. When St Pierre announced his return to fans he almost broke the internet as every media outlet rushed to tell the world. Only a matter of time until the UFC reveals his opponents.
