Dat Wins After Sudden Death Round

Hollywood, FL -- Friday, April 21st was a night filled with world-class violence for one of the most exciting promotions around BAREKNUCKLE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP! Many fighters from around the area came to represent against hard match ups which made it a tough night for South Florida.

Can't Win Them All

In the prelims the crowd supported Freddy Masabo, the Cuban-born fighter, fighting out of Miami's very own GoatShed Gym. Led by Asim Zaidi, a former fighter himself, has been on a tour of every around including the UFC. This team has been on a tremendous winning streak but that was stopped by this Ukrainian warrior Bovar Khanakov. Masabo came in confident but Khanakov seemed to be a step ahead skill-wise dodging most of Freddy's strikes and even taunting him against the ropes like Muhammad Ali.

A Bloody Main Card

The main card had the crowd in awe, Miami fans love a good bare-knuckle fight. Townsel sent Chris straight to HELL. After being knocked down once he could not recover and was pummeled into submission. The knockout of the night was most likely Rene Rodriguez tko win over Mark Johnson in the first round. The biggest disappointment of the night was the co-main event featuring Bostwick vs Doolittle which ended in a draw. Miami's fighter Bostwick was very dominant in the match and most people agreed that he won the fight. One could wonder why BKFC didn't let them go to the sudden death round. Hopefully, we see Bostwick return soon.

Dat Boy

Daniel Strauss is a tough man. His jabs and skill to manage distance were obvious Friday night. Not enough can be said about Dat though. Always fighting bigger guys and overcoming disadvantages in every fight. Although he always fights in the 135 division, for Strauss they agreed at 145 pounds. After a 16-month lay off he did great and got his victory but had to go through a bloody sudden death round or who knows what would've happened. Vero beach is proud today and awaits news from Dats next fight.
