Boxr is challenging the status quo in boxing with its flashy but serious approach to the boxing game with media workouts on a yacht, weigh-ins surrounded by luxury and a WBC-sanctioned night of boxing .. at E11even Miami? We were behind the scenes for it all and are thoroughly impressed.
The event is being dubbed "When boxing meets nightlife" with Teofimo Lopez and Paulie Malignaggi, as commentators and local Miami music talent. E11even, already known for its own exciting spectacles, is the perfect place to hold this event, it's totally on brand for them.
The owners of Boxr Maria Camila and Matthew Attalla along with some help have turned Miami upside down and are "All-in" on Boxr. The work ethic to make this happen in the short amount of time they have and make it seem easy is setting the bar high in the already competitive combat sports industry. In recent years South Florida has exploded with fight promotions and there is a fight every weekend for the most part now but Boxr stands out completely.
A slew of interesting match-up's are on the way featuring NFL players, BKFC fighters and a Bellator world Champion. We've seen some weird cards put together this year but this isn't one of them, the matchmaking is spot on.
Looks like this event has got the attention of combat sports finest with fighters like David Benavidez and Jorge Masvidal joining the crowd. This just adds onto an already stacked night.
