BKFC 66: Blas Retains Championship, BKFC Makes Big Announcements

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) returned to action in thrilling fashion with BKFC 66, hosted at the sold-out Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The night was headlined by an explosive bantamweight title bout between the undefeated champion Alberto "El Indio" Blas and the previously unbeaten Ryan Reber. The event featured several electrifying finishes and notable performances that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

In the night's main event, Alberto Blas (6-0) lived up to his reputation by defending his BKFC World Bantamweight Title against Ryan Reber (6-1) in devastating fashion. It took Blas only 56 seconds to dispatch the previously unbeaten Reber, delivering a knockout that left no doubt about who the king of the division is.

Blas, who hails from Cuba but fights out of Miami, made a statement by dropping Reber twice before securing his sixth consecutive first-round finish. The crowd erupted as Blas once again showed his dominance inside the Squared Circle. In his post-fight interview, Blas quickly addressed his fellow bantamweights: "Hello, 135ers. I am back!"

The win not only secured Blas's title but also put the rest of the division on notice. He remains undefeated and looks poised for future title defenses.

The co-main event featured a clash between Howard "HD" Davis and James "Get Down" Brown, two of BKFC's rising stars in the lightweight division. Howard Davis, the No. 3 ranked featherweight, wasted no time in asserting his dominance. He sent Brown to the canvas three times, securing a TKO victory just 1:41 into the first round.

Davis (7-2-1), who hails from Broward County, FL, delivered a powerful performance that further solidified his position as a top contender. His post-fight message was clear: he’s ready to take on any fighter, regardless of weight class.

"155, 165, 145 – I’m there," he proclaimed. Davis even called out the evening’s high-profile attendee, BKFC partner Conor McGregor, asking him to "make the call" for a future fight.

One of the most memorable moments of BKFC 66 came from Julio "The Cuban Horse" Perez, who scored a jaw-dropping 13-second knockout over Devonte "Mr. Unknown" Jeffery. This lightning-fast finish earned Perez the admiration of none other than Conor McGregor, who took to social media to praise the Cuban-born fighter.

Perez’s knockout, which saw Jeffery face-plant after a barrage of punches, drew immediate comparisons to McGregor’s own iconic 13-second knockout victory over José Aldo in the UFC. The referee stopped the bout as Jeffery attempted to get back on his feet, but the damage was already done.

With this win, Perez moves to 2-0 under the BKFC banner, with both victories coming by way of first-round knockout. The future looks bright for this rising star.

Another standout performance came from Leonardo "El Zombo" Perdomo, who remains undefeated in BKFC following a brutal first-round knockout of Steven "The Panda" Banks. Perdomo, ranked No. 4 in the BKFC heavyweight division, wasted no time, sending Banks to the canvas twice in 44 seconds to secure the TKO win.

This victory marks Perdomo’s fifth consecutive first-round finish, a streak that has him quickly climbing the heavyweight ranks. The Cuban-born Miami fighter’s power and precision make him a dangerous threat to anyone in the division.

Justin "Joy Boy" Ibarrola extended his perfect BKFC record to 5-0 with a hard-fought unanimous decision victory over Justin "The Nightmare" Street. In a closely contested bantamweight bout, Ibarrola’s superior technique earned him the nod from all three judges, who scored the fight 49-46.

Miami’s Armando Rodriguez made his BKFC debut in impressive fashion, defeating Dameko "Lotto" Labon via doctor stoppage at the end of the first round. Labon, who suffered an eye injury, was unable to continue, giving Rodriguez his first victory in the promotion.

In cruiserweight action, Stephen "Tomahawk" Townsel pulled off an upset against South Africa’s Jeremy "Pitbull" Smith. Townsel delivered a strong performance, knocking down Smith in the first round before securing a fourth-round TKO due to an eye injury.
