After a long night in the office, Lorenzo Hunt comes out victorious via split decision against former UFC contender, Chris Camozzi. "I'm the best fighter in the world" Hunt states right after his match for the heavyweight title.
You heard us say it before but .. The fight world is becoming bigger so roll out the welcome carpet which is long overdue for, Lorenzo Hunt. In the grand scheme of things Hunt's reign is fairly new but fighters have no doubt a new respect for bare-knuckle warriors today putting Hunt in the best position for something big.
Chris Camozzi turned in a stellar performance, giving the double-champ a hard night out. This left fans wondering about Hunt's future in the sport. Camozzi entered the bout with a plethora of experience, having faced top-tier opponents. That diverse combat sports background no doubt played a pivotal role in performance.
BKFC's Best
Earlier in the week, Hunt expressed that he had to show his skillset in this bout as he reflected on the past when the UFC chose not to sign him, instead choosing fighters like Chris Camozzi. Hunt realized his dream of defending both straps even though hard-fought and many fighters will seek to capitalize on his weaknesses.

Now this is where the "grand scheme of things" comes into play. BKFC is no doubt the fastest-growing promotion and bare-knuckle sports, in general, are starting to attract those high-level fighters. A gripe the fans might have with Hunt's statement is that Camozzi even with all his accolades is not "world-class". The world is on notice now as the reigning double champ welcomes any match which begs the question, how will Hunt do against legit world-class fighters? What if fighters such as Ngannou came to challenge Hunt? Derek Lewis? How about elite boxers such as Deontay Wilder, Andy Ruiz, Tyson Fury, or Usyk? These are interesting questions that fight fans have started to ask themselves.
Well, the welcome mat is rolled out for any fighters looking to challenge the face of BKFC!
