Right away after the milestone that is Bellator 300, the media spoke to Scott Coker immediately about the future of the promotion.
"I don't really have an answer, I'd be making up something for you to make you happy" he replied to media. When asked if there would be a goodbye or something special for Bellator send-off he replied that there is no goodbye yet.
Scott Coker is no doubt reluctant to talk about the future of the promotion because he is not the owner and feels he has no business revealing the plans of the higher-ups.
These talks all take place after stellar performances by some of Bellator's most beloved champs including Cris Cyborg who defended her belt easily against another OG, Kat Zingano. "I don't know how anyone can say anything about her not being the goat," says Coker.
Liz Carmouche stopped Macfarlane and defended her flyweight champion status. Macfarlane suffered a knee injury after Carmouche landed a kick right on the money sending Macfarlane straight to the canvas forcing the ref to stop the match.
Bellator 300 proved to be successful after a slew of finishes but will they continue to do so? When is Bellator 301? Will PFL acquire Bellator? No doubt these questions will be answered soon.
