Austin 'The Dreamkiller' Spivey: Miami’s Prospect Fighter Joins BKB

Miami, Fl -- Austin Spivey has never taken the easy road in his fighting career. Before signing with BKB, the former Miami prospect had already built a reputation for himself in the underground fight scene, the amateur ranks, and the exhibition circuit. Now, as he steps into the unforgiving world of bare-knuckle boxing, Spivey is ready to prove that he belongs on the biggest stage.

Spivey’s journey started in backyard fights, reminiscent of legends like Kimbo Slice. Those early scraps gave him a foundation in raw, unfiltered combat, but he knew he needed to sharpen his skills if he wanted to make a real impact. That’s when he stepped into a real gym. The transition wasn’t easy.

When Spivey first entered an MMA gym alongside CJ Brant, the two quickly realized just how high the level of competition was. They were tested immediately, suffering early losses against even the smallest opponents in the gym. But while others might have been discouraged, Spivey kept returning, determined to improve. That persistence paid off. Under the guidance of top-tier coaches, including GoatShed’s leader Asim Zaidi—better known as Coach Awsome—Spivey transformed from a backyard brawler into a disciplined, strategic fighter.

Before turning pro, Spivey tested himself in the Sparwars promotion, an exhibition league that has helped many fighters gain recognition. He fought on multiple cards, taking on tough opponents and showing an unbreakable will to win.

"I’ve been bare-knuckle boxing my whole life—we just didn’t call it that in the backyard," he says. That mindset made his transition to BKB feel like destiny.

Spivey credits his time in Miami and at GoatShed for elevating his game. "I lived, breathed, and dreamed fighting 24/7 for two years in that gym. I’ll be forever grateful," he says. The dog mentality he developed there is what he believes will separate him in the world of bare-knuckle boxing.

His fighting spirit has been influenced by warriors who came before him, including Gogo Braveheart and Uly "The Monster" Diaz, both of whom he trained with and looked up to. But at the end of the day, Spivey fights for something more personal.

"I fight for the kid in me—to make the younger version of myself proud. I want to coach children after my fighting career and make sure they don’t give up on their dreams."

The nickname "The Dreamkiller" came to him in the heat of the moment after silencing a hometown crowd in an MMA fight. It stuck, and now he’s carrying it into BKB, where the competition will be tougher than ever.

Spivey knows the challenge ahead, but he welcomes it. "They’re gonna say that was one bad motherf****," he says with confidence.

With his relentless drive, elite training, and the toughness forged from years of hard fights, Austin "The Dreamkiller" Spivey is ready to take on the world of bare-knuckle boxing—and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
